My Sister works at the Royal Brompton .

She told me around November last yr that Raymond had Benn in for a double bubble..

I recall asking her she had the right bod..she was sure..and said how great he was with the other patients after his op..chatting and just being a genuine geezer..

Top Man Raymond ..you CFC cunt..

Gawd bless ya

I think it would have been more respectful to observe the requested 1 minute applause.

I know a few are patting ourselves on the back for going the 'extra mile' but i found it a bit cringey

And i don't even roll my chinos up !!

Great respect from our fans, never expected anything less.

We need to put the embarrassing Lampard songs to bed now and move on, ffs.

Done well yesterday and well deserved for Butch.

Cringed when in the championship though and there was a minutes silence at Coventry. Fuck knows what it was for, but a large amount of our fans were singing etc.

Not really a surprise considering the amount of people I saw openly snorting charlie that day!!!

Re: Ray Wilkins - RIP
Silence is definitely how it should be observed.

However, what you tend to get is the people that stay downstairs for a pint, come up just after the minutes silence has started... Unaware they're talking, shouting, singing as usual...

That leads to others shouting at them to be quiet etc. etc. and it spirals out of control from there.

Re: Ray Wilkins - RIP
Assuming it is applause, keep an eye on Stuart Pearce. He'll be head bowed, observing a minute's silence.

Yep, that's the way it should be done.

No clapping
No chanting
just SILENCE

I would generally agree but singing 'Johnny Lyalls Claret & Blue Army' at Villa Park v 'Boro was spontaneous, respectful and just felt so right.......

We easily have the best fans in the capital by a country mile.

It's a shame that so many sneering GOGGLEBOXERS on here hate their own fans so much - mainly for not sporting camp little rolled-up chinos and wearing shoes without socks.

Fuck off to Arsenal with their odd cunt wanker fans if you want to dress like that because that certainly ain't West Ham United.

Oi... what the fuck has Young Woody ever done to you???? Well harsh....

Nice one, Hammers.

Class, as always.

Re: Ray Wilkins - RIP
We were absolute class today. Took me back to when we did the same after George Best died when the cunts thought we’d fuck up a minute silence so did the applause thing, we were class then as well.

Proper proud of the fans for that.

Well done to all fans who can be human, The fact that Hammers sang "There's only one Ray Wilkins" is heart warming decent and what should happen anyway.

As a mark of respect I think we should dedicate Cicharito's goal to the memory of Ray Wilkins

West Ham fans singing: "There's only one Ray Wilkins" as loud as anyone in the ground. What class and respect.

I noticed Manchester City didn't wear black arm bands during their game yesterday. Rivals and all that I suppose.

Our lads wore them.

Respect.
